The new Biologix app brings design and technology enhancements, including an upgrade to the well-known Biologix Sleep Test®. It also introduces new features such as the Biologix Snoring Test®, which allows patients to record their snoring without needing a sensor, completely free of charge.
How to Install It
The Biologix app is available on both the App Store (for iOS devices) and Google Play (for Android devices). Simply search for “Biologix” and tap “Get” or “Download.”
Reminder: Starting February 26, 2024, the previous version of the Biologix app (Biologix Lite) will be removed from the App Store and Google Play. We recommend that all accredited centers advise patients to download the new Biologix app (with the green icon) and uninstall Biologix Lite (with the white icon).
The new Biologix app includes the following features: the Biologix Sleep Test®, Biologix Snoring Test®, results dashboard and oximeter connection.
Biologix Sleep Test®
The Biologix Sleep Test® is a well-known tool for diagnosing snoring and sleep apnea. To perform the test, provide your patient with the Biologix Kit, which includes the sensor and hypoallergenic tape. Then, authorize the test through the platform. The app offers clear, step-by-step instructions to guide the patient, similar to the previous version.
Biologix Snoring Test®
The Biologix Snoring Test® enables snoring assessment without the need for an Oxistar® sensor. Using artificial intelligence, the test records and analyzes the patient’s snoring overnight, providing data on snoring intensity and percentage of time spent snoring during sleep.
Remember: The Biologix Snoring Test® is completely free of charge for accredited centers. You can authorize the test for patients at no additional cost.
How to Authorize the Biologix Snoring Test®
Log into the healthcare practitioner's portal, go to Tests > Biologix Snoring Test® > AUTHORIZATIONS. In this section, click + NEW AUTHORIZATION and enter the patient’s identity document number. That’s it! The Biologix Snoring Test® will be available in the patient’s app!
Once authorized, patients can perform unlimited snoring tests. You can revoke the authorization at any time.
What is the Difference Between the Biologix Sleep Test® and the Biologix Snoring Test®?
While both tests record audio during sleep, their functionalities differ. On the one hand, the Biologix Sleep Test® diagnoses sleep apnea using data from the Oxistar Sensor® combined with snoring audio. On the other hand, the Biologix Snoring Test® only records and analyzes snoring.
Authorizations work differently. The sleep test allows one test per authorizaton, while the snoring test enables unlimited tests until the authorization is revoked.
Results
In the “Results” section, patients can view detailed reports, including graphs and metrics such as ODI (Oxygen Desaturation Index), heart rate, oxygen saturation, and snoring. They can also download their reports in PDF format and share them via email, WhatsApp and other platforms.
Oximeter
In the “Oximeter” section, patients can connect their Oxistar Sensor® to view real-time data, including oxygen saturation and heart rate. Besides, they can consult the sensor’s battery level, serial number and firmware version.
