Biologix Sleep Test®
The Biologix Sleep Test® is a multimodal polysomnography used to diagnose and assist in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. It is a simplified method that requires only a smartphone and a compact, wireless sensor. In addition to its simplicity, three scientific studies have demonstrated that the Biologix Sleep Test® has accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity rates exceeding 90% when compared to other sleep tests conducted at home or in clinical settings.
Available in two versions, Biologix Sleep Test® and Biologix Sleep Test® Pro (which includes atrial fibrillation risk detection), our solution enables accredited healthcare practitioners to offer their patients innovative and advanced testing for the evaluation of respiratory sleep disorders.
By choosing the Biologix Sleep Test® subscription, healthcare practitioners gain access to data such as the oxygen desaturation index (ODI), total time with oxygen saturation below 90%, hypoxic burden, heart rate, snoring intensity, and estimated sleep time. The Biologix Sleep Test® Pro version includes all of the aforementioned parameters, along with the added capability of detecting atrial fibrillation risk. This version’s redesigned, three-page report provides expanded graph space to facilitate data analysis.

The Oxistar® Sensor
Developed and manufactured in Brazil, the Oxistar® sensor incorporates a high-resolution oximeter with an actimeter. The device is certified by the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA), the Brazilian National Institute of Metrology, Standardization, and Industrial Quality (INMETRO), and the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL).
Loaned to the patient by the healthcare practitioner, the sensor records oxygen saturation, heart rate, movement, snoring intensity, estimated sleep time, hypoxic burden, and atrial fibrillation risk.
The Patient’s App
The Biologix app is intuitive and available for both Android and iOS. Patients use it to perform sleep and snoring tests. In addition, they can complete their medical forms and start and finish each procedure within the same app.
The Healthcare Practitioner’s Portal
The Biologix cloud infrastructure combines artificial intelligence, data encryption, and connectivity to provide healthcare practitioners with a secure platform to authorize tests, access results, consult educational sleep content, manage subscription plan billing, and administer their accredited centers through an exclusive dashboard.
Report
Once the test is completed, a report is automatically generated and signed by a physician specializing in sleep medicine. The report presents the information clearly, including graphs (polysomnograms) that detail the patient’s complete night of sleep.
Information Included in the Report:
Oxygen Desaturation Index (ODI)
The ODI is calculated by dividing the number of desaturations greater than 3% by the number of validated recorded hours.
Time with Oxygen Saturation Below 90%
Shows the percentage of valid test time during which the patient’s oxygen saturation was below 90%.
Hypoxic Burden
Frequently cited in scientific literature for its correlation with cardiovascular problems, this parameter evaluates the length and depth of each oxygen desaturation episode.
Heart Rate
Each histogram bar represents the proportion of time the patient maintained a specific heart rate during the indicated stages.
Snoring Intensity
The Biologix algorithm, based on neural networks and machine learning, analyzes sounds recorded by the smartphone’s microphone and classifies them as silence, mild, moderate, or severe, indicating the duration of each level.
Estimated Sleep Time
Refers to the total sleep duration of the patient, as determined by an artificial intelligence algorithm that analyzes factors such as movement, snoring, heart rate, and oxygen saturation (SpO₂) to identify sleep periods.

Atrial Fibrillation Risk
Classifies the risk of atrial fibrillation during the test. If at least one episode is detected, the risk is classified as “High”; if no episodes are recorded, the risk is classified as “Low.”
